Automated Hull Resistance Calculator – Coming Soon!

We are pleased to announce that DHI has been awarded a Biosecurity Innovation Project grant from the Australian Government’s Department of Agriculture Water and Environment to develop an automated Hull Resistance Calculator for estimating the potential biofouling load of a vessel’s hull within Vessel-Check. This new “game-changing” innovation uses several independent data streams such as vessel particulars (size, engine powering, etc) and vessel AIS history (routes, speeds, idle times etc) to estimate a ship’s hull resistance allowing for even more information to better manage vessel biofouling risk and improve vessel hull efficiencies – Stay tuned!

Draft In-Water Cleaning (IWC) Standards - Australia

The Australian Government has developed draft Australian in-water cleaning (IWC) standards that specify the requirements for the removal of biofouling and cleaning of vessels that occur in-water – in Australian territorial seas. These draft standards are now open for public comment.

Vessel Manager Partnering Program

Partnering Program for Vessel Managers

Many of our vessel managers have been part of the development journey for quite some time. It has been a valuable partnership that we want to continue and accordingly have created a Partnering Program to help guide the developments in the portal for Vessel Managers.
The partnering program will allow us to learn from the vessel user group and prioritise which new Vessel-Check features will help vessel managers to further increase efficiency and save time. The program will run for 1 year and will include user support, training and a quarterly discussion to obtain feedback. Get in touch if you would like to participate.
