Vessel-Check network continuing to expand
This map view taken recently is a snap-shot of forecast vessel arrivals for the next 7 days for ports monitored by Vessel-Check – over 3,300 vessels and over 120 ports. The forecast is updated 4 times a day with the latest information from our AIS data provider.

Port Authorities, Regulators and Marine Title Holders – would you like to know potential pest impact zones?
Vessel-Check’s parent company, DHI Australia were recently asked this question. A Vessel-Check regulatory user, the biosecurity department for the State of Victoria wanted an estimate of the potential spread of larvae particles released from a docked vessel and transported through their waterways. Using DHI’s MIKE software and a calibrated 3-dimensional model of Port Phillip Bay, our team was able to produce predictions at staged time intervals of the potential spread of a marine pest released from several different berths. The study results also helped to inform the client of suitable locations for the installation of marine pest settlement plates.
Vessel Manager Quick Tour video
We have just released a short quick tour video, showcasing Vessel-Check from a vessel manager login. As an integrated management tool, Vessel-Check provides one easily accessible, central, global ‘point of truth’ for all aquatic biosecurity information. Principally, there are 2 secure windows into the same database. The vessel manager login is all about biosecurity management of vessels, whilst the regulator login is designed for users responsible for the management of biosecurity in a region – e.g. a country, a state, a port, a marine title area
